The curtains will come down on 2017/18 Premier League this coming weekend. All teams will play their games-in-hand in the course of the week ahead of the season finale on Sunday evening. The top four race might go to the wire and relegation battle is still on. Last weekend, Manchester City lifted their League title but it was sorrowing for Stoke City because they will play in the Championship next season. Today, we want to take a look at worst performers since Friday when Brighton hosted Manchester United.
5. Darmian and Fellaini- Man United
Manchester United lost 1-0 away to the third team promoted this season. The Red Devils lost 2-1 earlier this season to Huddersfield, then 1-0 to Newcastle United. It was a terrible performance by most of the players but fullback Matteo Darmian and midfielder Marouane Fellaini were terrible according to fans online. In fact, the Italian defender was partly to blame for the goal scored by Pascal Gross.
This is what fans said about them on Twitter after the game;
Darmian and Fellaini are two players absolutely not needed at United next season. Applause for former Brighton loanee Lingard from the home fans. #mufc

Darmian and Fellaini off. Hopefully that's the last time we see them in a United shirt

This is likely to be the last time we see Matteo Darmian playing for Manchester United.

4. Ryan Bertrand- Southampton

Southampton was so close to a win last weekend against Everton but a terrible clearance from Ryan Bertrand gave away two valuable points. The referee Jon Moss was just about to blow his whistle in the last few seconds of the game at Goodison Park.
Southampton can blame whoever they want but what was Ryan Bertrand at there kicking that ball straight up the line, England international my hole

The visitors were leading 1-0 with 10 men. However, the former Chelsea defender cleared the ball along the touchline instead of kicking it out. Idrissa Gueye got the ball straight away, passed to Tom Davies who directed his shot towards the goal. The drive deflected off Wesley Hoedt and there was the equalizer. It was the ultimate disappointment for anybody associated with the club. They now must beat Swansea at Liberty Stadium on Tuesday to guarantee safety.
3. Salah, Firmino & Mane- Liverpool
Mohammed Salah v Chelsea:

Liverpool front three failed to fire at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening. Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud scored the solitary goal to make sure his team gets all three points against a top-four opponent. The win means their Champions League dream is not dead yet. If they win their two remaining games, they will finish level on points with the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp men played away against AS Roma on Wednesday night to book their place in UEFA Champions League final. They came to the Sunday game knowing a draw will be enough. However, the best thing PFA Player of the year did all day was to dive to win a free-kick and he received a yellow for simulation.
“Yes I think it was a dive, was it?” Klopp said.
“Or he waited for the contact, I am not sure, so that is not what I want to see, that is not what he wants to do. But obviously, it happened.
“With all the other situations, he couldn’t get any foul any more. That is not right as well. It was always like this and you have to deal with that.”
Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane were poor too. This means they must beat Brighton in their final game or risk finding themselves in Europa League next season.
