Manchester United best central midfielder of all time and one of the best in his generation played 718 matches. The midfield maestro had announced retirement but Sir Alex Ferguson brought him back in 2012/13 season. They won the 20th League title for the club, 13 for both of them and signed off in style. The club will struggle to get another player like him. He scored 141 goals, most of them screamers.

2. Bobby Charlton- 758 matches

Bobby Charlton held Manchester United goal record for 40-years until 2016 when Wayne Rooney broke it. He netted 249 times in 758 matches to create his own history. He was also the record goalscorer for England national team and it is the same man who broke it in 2016. The former multi-purpose striker could striker with both legs and defenders feared him. He still remains at the club as a director.

1. Ryan Giggs- 963 matches

Manchester United all-time appearances record holder is none other than Ryan Giggs. He played 963 matches for the club in a career that started in 1991 to 2014. He won all trophies together with Sir Alex Ferguson and played one more year after the manager left the club. He lifted 13 League titles, 2 Champions League crowns among others to become the most decorated British footballer of all time. He scored a total of 161 goals and assisted many more.
