3. Samuel Eto’o – Striker [37-year-old]

Cameroonian forward Eto’o has always been a prolific striker during his career. At the age of 37, the former Barcelona star is still going strong.

The three-time Champions League winner managed to score 44 goals in 77 appearances for Antalyaspor before joining Konyaspor in January.

Eto’o signed for Qatar SC in August 2018.

2. Gianluigi Buffon – Goalkeeper [40-year-old]

Former Juventus shot-stopper has been one of the best goalkeepers in the world for two decades. At the age of 40, the veteran is still the greatest goalkeeper in the world. Indeed, the former Parma star is doubtlessly the finest keeper of all time.

The former Italy international has joined the Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and since made six appearances.

1. Essam El-Hadary (45-year-old)

Egypt international goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary started his playing career at Damietta in 1991 when he was only 18 years old.

ElHadary has also started his international career in 1996 and went on to make 157 caps for The Pharaohs.

In 2012 former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba named El-Hadary as his best opponent he ever faced, but since then legendary goalkeeper went on to make 61 appearances for his national team.

Even at 45, El-Hadary remains a sensational shot-stopper, as he is now set to feature the 2018 World Cup this summer in Russia, after being named in the Hector Cuper’s 23-man squad.
