We are talking about Algeria international Riyad Mahrez who was on the verge of joining City in January; and handed in a transfer request trying to force the move.
But Foxes rejected City’s £50m offer for Mahrez and slapped a £80m price-tag on his head which deterred City.
Mahrez is still hoping to leave Leicester in the summer and favours a move to the north London club, Daily Express reports.
Riyad Mahrez: “At that time [January] I handed in a transfer request because I had offers from Manchester City, so obviously I wanted to go, but now I am still in Leicester. With me especially you never know what is happening.” pic.twitter.com/vQVf628V8x
