ANTHONY MARTIAL wanted the chance to speak to Arsenal over a possible move in January, according to reports, and is now prepared to leave the Red Devils this summer.

The Shock Move

Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving the other way in a swap deal.

However, Martial, 22, was among the names originally tipped to be included in the transfer. And The Times reports the French striker was “disappointed at not having the chance to discuss a move to Arsenal in January.”

The Frenchman has been limited to just four starts in 13 games since Sanchez’s arrival and it seems he is planning to leave the club at the end of the season. According to The Times, Martial is considering a switch to either Arsenal or Juventus, after the Serie A champions made him their top transfer target.

The forward wants assurances from Mourinho he will be given more playing time next season before committing his future to the club. Martial was given a rare run-out in United’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth last night.

An impressive showing would stand him in good stead for a starting spot in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham.
