FIFA World Cup 2018 continues to deliver drama every day that passes. On Thursday night, Argentina suffered their worst ever Group Stage World Cup defeat since 1958. Croatia hammered the hapless South Americans 3-0 to book their place in the last 16 with a game to spare. The defeat leaves Lionel Messi World Cup dream in tatters.
Ronaldo embraces the pressure of playing for Portugal. He does not have the ghosts of previous World Cups – such as Diego Maradona – weighing him down. On Thursday night, Messi did not look like he was enjoying playing for Argentina.

Messi and his teammates gave up on the game. The third goal was just walked to the net by Ivan Rakitic as his opponents watched helplessly behind him. It was total shambles for a team that is full of stars.

The coach was criticized for leaving Angel Di Maria, Paulo Dybala, and Gonzalo Higuain on the bench from the start. The midfield duo Mascherano and Perez were also outplayed by Modric, Rakitic, and Brozovic. The Barcelona star who is so used to terrorizing defenders had a single shot on goal, to sum up, a terrible night.
