Chelsea completed the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao for a record £71.6 million. This makes him the most expensive goalkeeper of all time. He broke a record set less than a month ago when Liverpool paid £67 million to sign Alisson Becker from AS Roma.
4.Central Defenders- £133.5 Million
Premier League also has the World most expensive central defenders in the World. Liverpool paid the highest ever fee for a defender to Southampton to sign Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman was signed for £75 million to seal a hole in Jurgen Klopp defence. Manchester City paid £51.75 million and £47.5 million last summer to sign left-back Benjamin Mendy and right back Kyle Walker from AS Monaco and Tottenham Hotspurs respectively.
