Barcelona are reportedly looking for Luis Suarez replacement on the permanent basis with the striker is turning 32 in January.
Suarez is still in impressive form for La Liga champions as the Uruguay international scored nine times and six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this season.
But Barcelona are said to have created a shortlist of potential attacking targets as they want a long-term successor to the striker.
According to the ESPN FC, Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek, Lille’s Nicolas Pepe and Benfica’s Luka Jovic are all on the wishlist.
And Suarez is apparently relaxed about the potential new signing and admits the Catalan side will have to sign his long-term replacement at some point.
“When they say Barcelona need a new No. 9, there’s nothing strange about it,” he said. “Obviously they have to bring players in.”
“I am 31 and Barca have to think, as a club, about the future. They are always going to need strikers, left-backs or whatever position it may be.”
Suarez joined Barcelona in the summer of 2014 from Liverpool and has gone on to score 161 goals in 2015 appearances.
The former Ajax ace helped the Blaugrana to win 12 trophies including three La Liga titles and UEFA Champions League.
