We all know it is possible for these kids to follow in their father’s footsteps and become superstars in football; but the opposite is also possible. A good example is Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff and his son Jordi Cruyff who never really made it in football like his father.

Now let us look at current and former footballers and their kids;

7. Rooney’s son Kai

Everton Captain Wayne Rooney’s son Kai has already shown signs. At the end of every season, players come with their families and Kai has been quick to grab the opportunity to show the whole world what he can do. In few years you might have to put up with another fierce Rooney on your screen.

6. Beckham’s son Brooklyn

At only 15 Brooklyn was already a star in the making in London. He is said to be even more talented than his father but again only time can tell. The former Manchester United winger was a specialist in free kicks and if his son gets a drop of that, he will be a World beater…let’s wait and see what comes of him.

5.Van Persie’s son Shaqueel

If you can recall the young Van Persie joining Arsenal from Feyenoord, then you can paint an image of Shaqueel Van Persie. He plays with his left foot and he can take on a number of players just like his father. He moved with his father from Manchester United Academy to Fenerbahçe Academy to continue his development. We will wait keenly to see if we will see another flying goal in the next few years.

4. Ronaldo’s son Ronaldo Jr.

Not much has been seen from Ronaldo Junior the son of four times World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo but what is for sure is that he is learning a lot from his father. He is reportedly the king of his school football team already but until we see it, we just have to be patient. The videos available for him to watch will be countless; let’s hope one day he will mesmerize us just like his Real Madrid father!

3. Messi’s son Thiago

Still a very young boy but according to credible sources, Thiago has already shown a lot of interest in football. His father is the only player in the history of football to win 5 Ballon d’Or awards and let’s hope Thiago can break that record one day.

2. Kaka’s son Luca

Kaka won FIFA Ballon d’Or in 2007 and helped AC Milan win the Uefa Champions League in the same year. He currently plays for Orlando City in Major League Soccer.

His son Luca has received a lot of praise from his father and other former footballers. He prefers number 10 Jersey just like his dad and this shows he might torment Manchester United’s defence again one day!

1. Zidane’s son Enzo

Enzo Alan Zidane Fernández is 20 years and currently playing for Deportivo Alavés with his father giving him his first team debut in 2016 at Real Madrid. He might not be there yet but his talent is exceptional and his touch is like his father’s.  If all goes to plan, we might enjoy another class footballer from Zidane family one day.
