Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has slammed his players after the Red Devils’ 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.

Mourinho, whose side lost their second game at home this season, has labelled his players ‘masters in complication’ after the defeat.

Having beaten Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the previous week, Mourinho’s men failed to even claim a point at Old Trafford against The Baggies.

Mourinho told Sky Sports News: “We were masters in complication. Everything was complicated. Players didn’t want to or didn’t play simple. Everything was slow. Everyone was one more touch, one more trick, one more flick, one more turn.”

“I don’t think we deserved to lose, but we gave them the opportunity to win the match by being solid in defence and sniffing a chance in attack.”

United defeat means that local rivals Man City are now crowned the Premier League champions with five games remaining.
