5. Mesut Ozil
Ozil is a practicing Muslim. He recites from the Quran before his matches and can be seen celebrating with a prayer. Talking to the Berlin-based daily Der Tagesspiegel, Ozil said, “I always do that before I go out. I pray and my teammates know that they cannot talk to me during this brief period.”

Everyone now knows Marcelo has a special room from a prayer or two. Former Real Madrid player and director Jorge Valdano tried to make Marcelo uncomfortable prior to the Champions League final, at the same time referring to the praying habits of the Brazilian:
“Give a photo of Salah to Marcelo, so that he begins to include him in his prayers and be more careful in his corridor.” suggested the Argentine.
