Portuguese International Cristiano Ronaldo was the 3rd generation of Jersey number 7 after Raul Gonzalez and Alfredo Di Stefano before him. He collected 5 Ballons d’Or crowns 4 of them coming during his time at Santiago Bernabeu.

CR7 as he is popularly known joined the Spanish giants from Premier League side Manchester United after a successful spell at Old Trafford. He won all available trophies in Los Blanco’s colors. He is the club all-time best scorer after netting 450 goals in 438 appearances. He left behind a much better record than anybody else. Ronaldo had seen enough in Madrid and this summer he joined Serie A side Juventus.

1. Alfredo Di Stefano: 1953-1964

Pele and Maradonna get all the accolades when it comes to best footballers of all time. However, one man who does not make the headlines as others do is Alfredo Di Stefano.

He is regarded as one of the most complete β€˜Total’ footballers. He is the main reason why Real Madrid is the most successful club in the World. He helped them win record 5 European titles (today Champions League) and actually scored in all five finals.

He also collected 8 league titles during his time in Santiago Bernabeu to register his name in the history books forever. He scored 307 goals in 396 appearances for the club. It is going to be almost impossible for any other player to better than Stefano.
