Premier League takes a break this weekend to pave way for the World oldest Cup competition to kick off. Tottenham Hotspurs will curtain raise FA Cup third round with an away clash against Tranmere. Manchester United will welcome Reading at Old Trafford on Saturday while their neighbors’ City will be away on Sunday against Rotherham. Arsenal will face Blackpool away, Chelsea will entertain fallen giant Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge while Liverpool will travel to face Wolves on Monday. Today, we want to recognize five clubs with most FA Cup trophies in the history of English football.

5. Liverpool- 7 Trophies

Liverpool will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to face Wolves in FA Cup third round on Monday night. The Reds are wounded after a 2-1 defeat against Manchester City on Thursday night at Etihad. The result means the gap at the top has been reduced to four points.

Jurgen Klopp will want a comfortable result on Monday to get the confidence back up. The Club has not won a single trophy since 2012 despite massive investment. FA Cup cabinet at Anfield has only 7 crowns and the German has a golden chance to improve on that. Aston Villa has also won 7 FA Cups in their history.

4. Tottenham Hotspurs- 8 Trophies

Tottenham Hotspurs will open 2018/19 FA Cup season with a Friday clash against Tranmere away from home. Mauricio Pochetino will hope for an easy match because his side has another clash against Chelsea in League Cup semi-finals on Tuesday night.

This will be followed by a Premier League tie against Manchester United at Wembley in the following weekend. The Argentine has a chance to win something this season but if he gets it wrong in the next 10 days, all might be lost. The club has a fine record of 8 FA Cup trophies in history.

3. Chelsea- 8 Trophies

Chelsea had only 3 FA Cup titles when Russia billionaire Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2004. Since then, the Blues have lifted five more FA Cups. Stamford Bridge side will start their title defense on Saturday against Nottingham Forest. Maurizio Sarri must be ready because this will not be an easy match.
