Europa League 2022/23 Odds: Arsenal favourites to land trophy
Arsenal remain firmly in control at the summit of the Premier League table and following a successful Europa League group campaign they are favourites to win Europe’s second-tier club competition.
It has already been a memorable season for Arsenal, the North London outfit clinging onto pole position in the Premier League table and all-but-assured of a Champions League berth for next term via a top four finish. Indeed the Gunners have another potential route into Europe’s top club competition, simply by winning the Europa League.
We say ‘simply’, however with some big clubs in this competition, lifting the trophy will be no mean feat. Arsenal may be favourites but this is a tournament which could realistically be won by several European ‘giants’ such as Manchester United, Barcelona, Ajax, Roma and Juventus. The likes of Barca and Juve dropped down from the Champions League after failing to impress in their respective group campaigns but they sit amongst the favourites to go all the way in the Europa League.
Nevertheless Arsenal are deemed the side most likely to lift the trophy, mainly on account of their excellent domestic form but also due to their impressive group campaign where they finished at the top of Group A. Mikel Arteta’s men are priced at a general 4/1 to win the tournament and either way, it seems likely that they will certainly be featuring in the latter stages.
Barcelona are next in the betting at a general 9/2, the Catalan side currently riding high at the summit of the La Liga table but failing to get going in their Champions League campaign. Manchester United come in next at 8/1, the Red Devils finishing second to Real Sociedad on goal difference in Group E.
