Erling Haaland 1/25 to win 2022/23 Premier League Golden Boot

While Manchester City are struggling to close the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Arsenal, star striker Erling Haaland is closing in on the Golden Boot with a massive 25 goals to his name.

Erling Haaland has enjoyed a tremendous first season in the Premier League and his prolific goal scoring has sent him clear at the top of the scoring charts in this season’s Premier League campaign. Indeed the Manchester City striker bagged his fourth league hat-trick of the campaign when firing three past Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux last month, putting him very much on a par with Alan Shearer and Harry Kane as the only three players ever to have managed four hat-tricks in just one season in the Premier League. Should he manage one more, then he will equal the all-time record of five in a single season, set by Shearer.

Indeed, Haaland has bagged as many Premier League hat-tricks as every other top-flight player combined, thus far only Ivan Toney, Phil Foden, Leandro Trossard and Son Heung-Min hitting a treble in the top-flight this term.

After just 21 rounds of fixtures and with almost half of the season left to play, Haaland has already scored 25 goals – more than each of the last seven Golden Boot winners managed in a full season. Just one more Premier League goal will see the Norway international become one of just fourteen players to find the net 26 times in a single season, while a further nine goals will lift him alongside record holders Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.

The chances of Haaland being caught between now and the end of the season are extremely slim and this fact is reflected in the bookmaker prices for him winning the Golden Boot. Most firms go 1/25 that he receives the accolade, far ahead of perceived closest rivals Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford at 12/1 and 66/1 respectively.
