Real Madrid took home €100 million in June this year when they defeated Liverpool 3-1 in UEFA Champions League final. This is because the prize money keeps increasing every year. The amount is set to increase once again this year. It is a great motivation for clubs to continue signing big stars to try and lift the trophy. Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo to try to lift the crown that has continued to evade them for years.

Ferrari finished second in 2017 Formula One season but they still took home the biggest prize money. This is because of special clauses in their contract that has been in place for years. The Italian racing company took home €165 million as compared to Champions Mercedes who received €144 million. Lewis Hamilton has retained his crown this year. He completed the job in Mexico last weekend. The British have now lifted six titles in his career.
