Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will reportedly play against Arsenal this weekend without star midfielders Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson.

The Gunners, who are on an unbeaten streak of 12 matches across all competitions, will host the Reds on Saturday evening.

Liverpool pair Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita are still yet to return to full training with the first-team squad. Henderson and £48m summer-recruit Keita trained on their own on Wednesday, taking part in individual sessions as they continue to recover from their respective hamstring injuries. Both players were not in the match-day squad for Liverpool's 4-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday and the midweek victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League. Keita, who suffered a strain while on international duty with Guinea in October, also missed the 1-0 win at Huddersfield on October 20. With only a few training sessions left before Liverpool's trip to Arsenal on Saturday, it is doubtful whether or not they will be involved at the weekend. #LFC #YNWA #JordanHenderson #Henderson #Keita #NabyKeita #NK8 #Liverpool #LiverpoolFC #WeAreLiverpool #LFCFamily #Anfield #TheReds #PremierLeague #TheRedPost

The Merseysiders are now second on the Premier League table, while Unai Emery side sit fourth with just four points behind joint leaders Man City and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Klopp’s side will move top if they manage to beat the North London side, who will be vital in their title challenge.

However, the German boss will be without his midfield pair with Keita suffers a hamstring strain, while captain Henderson suffers a tight hamstring.

Speaking last week, Klopp claimed the two would feature against Arsenal, but now with just two days to go, the manager would think twice.

“They are both in a good way but they will not be ready (to face Cardiff),” Klopp said pre-Cardiff.

“That’s pretty much it though – the rest, apart from [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rhian [Brewster], should be available.”

Jurgen Klopp has moved to ease fears over his side's training preparations ahead of Arsenal after New Zealand's rugby league side trained at Melwood. New Zealand face England on Sunday at Anfield as part of their three-part Baskerville Shield series, with the Kiwis taking part in a training session at Liverpool's training ground on Tuesday. Klopp has insisted the Melwood pitch will be ready to host his players in the build-up to Saturday's crucial clash at the Emirates. "They had a good session I hope," Klopp said. "I spoke already with our groundsman and it's all good with the pitch – I hope. Especially when you saw the game (on Tuesday), when Tottenham played City at Wembley and the day before that, the NFL game. That was crazy. "But it's all good, they are all fine." After England and New Zealand do battle at Anfield on Sunday, the Reds' next home engagement will be seven days later against Fulham. #LFC #YNWA #Klopp #JurgenKlopp #Liverpool #LiverpoolFC #WeAreLiverpool #LFCFamily #Anfield #TheReds #TheRedPost #PremerLeague

Arsenal, who beat Blackpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday night, will also host face Sporting in their return match of the Europa League group stage.

On the other hand, Liverpool will take on Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday evening in their Champions League clash following the Reds’ 4-1 victory over the Serbian side at Rajko Mitić Stadium.
