2. Wayne Rooney – 17 Goals in First Season

Manchester United all-time best scorer Wayne Rooney will be remembered for decades to come for his contribution to the most popular club in the World. The former England International won everything in club level during his time at Old Trafford.

However, Romelu Lukaku has beaten him when it comes to goals netted in his first season. The Belgian has netted 27 goals in all competitions in his first season at Old Trafford. Rooney scored 17, 19,23, 18, and 20 in each of his first five seasons at the club. His best year came in 2009/10 when Cristiano Ronaldo left the club. He netted 34 goals that year.

1.Carlos Tevez – 19 Goals in the First season

Carlos Tevez had two great years at Manchester United in 2007/08 and 2008/09. In his first season, he netted 19 goals in 48 matches to help the Red Devils lift the League and UEFA Champions League. In his second year, he scored 15 times in 51 matches. He was a great player for the Red Devils but Romelu Lukaku has done better in his first year at Old Trafford with 27 goals in his first year.
