Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that centre-back Jerome Boateng could leave the Bundesliga champions this summer.

Boateng, who joined Bayern in 2011 from Premier League side Manchester City, has enjoyed a successful seven-year spell at the Allianz Arena.

However, different reports have previously reported that the Bavarians could allow the Germany international to leave if they receive offers.

The 29-year-old has emerged as Manchester United target as manager Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his backline this summer.

“If a club comes to us and he says that he wants to join that club, then we will negotiate, but the offer has to be important,” Rummenigge told Bild.
