Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will certainly feature the Champions League final against Liverpool in Kiev on 26 May.

The Portuguese attacker has suffered an ankle injury during Madrid’s 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Sunday evening.

Ronaldo was forced off in 46 minutes but French manager Zidane has played down all concerns insisting that it’s just a knock.

“It doesn’t feel good right now, but I think it’s going to be small [problem], it’s just a knock,” Zidane told reporters.

“Don’t worry about the final, he will be there. I cannot tell you how long [he will be out for], but he said that he thinks it isn’t much. We will see tomorrow.”

“We will see what we have to do, and the damage that has been done. It was a little swollen, but as I say, it wasn’t much.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner could now miss out on the games against Sevilla, Celta Vigo and Villarreal before taking on Liverpool.
