Premier League 2017/18 doors will be closed this coming weekend. All teams will play their games-in-hand in the course of the week ahead of the season finale on Sunday evening. Top four marathon might go to the wire but relegation battle might be over before then. Manchester City has now lifted their League title but on the other end, Stoke City is down and out. Today, we want to look at best players last weekend in this famous and entertaining division of English football.
5. Eden Hazard- Chelsea
Chelsea 1-0 win against Liverpool has given the fans hope of Champions League football next season ahead of their last two matches. The goal was scored by Olivier Giroud. The fans expected the Reds front three to punish the Blues but it is Eden Hazard who was unplayable. The Belgian overshadowed PFA Player of the Year Mohamed Salah for ninety minutes. It was one of his best performance this season no doubt.
4. Jake Livermore- West Brom
West Brom hopes of survival are still alive thanks to a last-minute equalizer by Everton midfielder Tom Davies against Southampton. Darren Moore pulled off another masterstroke on Saturday against another top six opposition Tottenham Hotspurs. The relegation-threatened side held on to a 0-0 result until 90+2 minute when Jake Livermore scored the winner. Since the caretaker boss took over, they have beaten, Manchester United, Spurs and a 2-2 draw against Liverpool. It is almost impossible for them to avoid the drop but the 44-year old has exposed former boss Alan Pardew.
3. Pascal Gross- Brighton
Pascal Groß has scored Brighton's first goal against Man Utd since Matthew Edwards in 1992.

Manchester United lost 1-0 away against Brighton. It was the third defeat against promoted teams this season. The Red Devils lost 2-1 earlier this season to Huddersfield, then 1-0 to Newcastle United. The Friday clash did not deliver according to Jose Mourinho. However, for the hosts, the three points secured Premier League football for another year. Pascal Gross goal means he is officially a legend at the club. Chris Houghton is now a very happy man.
