FIFA 2018 World Best awards for best male and female footballers and Coaches were announced on Monday night in London. Manchester United goalkeeper has finally been recognized outside the Premier League. The Spaniard lifted the Golden Gloves in 2017/18 season after missing it for several seasons. He was named number one goalkeeper in FIFPro World XI. Today, as we celebrate the award winners, we want to look at five Goalies who made Champions League debut at a very tender age.

Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Adrian Semper takes position five in the list. He made his debut on 14th September 2016 against Lyon. The Croatian shot-stopper was 18 years and 245 days when he first played in the competition. He currently plays for Chievo Verona on loan from Zagreb.

CSKA Moscow number one Igor Akinfeev is still going strong. The goalkeeper was discovered early and given a chance to impress. The Russian number one made his Champions League debut against FC Porto on 14th September 2004. He was only 18 years and 159 days. He was a key figure in 2018 FIFA World Cup hosted by his country.

Bulgarian club Levski Sofia unveiled Nikolay Mihaylov in Champions League on 31st October 2006. The young goalkeeper faced SV Werder Bremen aged only 18 years and 124 days. He last played for Turkish club Mersin İdmanyurdu but he is currently a free agent.
