As the season goes on, the January transfer window is less than three weeks away. Football lovers all over the world wait in anticipation of some big, surprising moves. Many big names such as Alexis Sanchez, Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, and Van Dijk moved in the last time around. Now is the time to witness others. But who should consider leaving their clubs? Here is a list of 5 players who may leave their clubs in January.
5. Victor Moses (Chelsea)
Since the departure of Conte, Moses has been abolished by new manager Maurizio Sarri. Moses’ fall down the pecking order has truly been bizarre. He’s behind Pedro, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and even Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sarri won’t even consider the thought of him as a right-back. Davide Zappacosta deputizes for Cesar Azpilicueta in that department. Apparently frustrated by the lack of playing time, the 27-year-old former Nigeria international is expected to leave in the January transfer window.
4. Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Paul Pogba hinted towards a future away from United. All this with a backdrop of a tense relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, and a summer of interest from Barcelona. Now that the World Cup winner is slowly becoming a bench warmer, it won’t be a surprise the coming January transfer window takes him away from Mourinho’s sight.
3. Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid)
Jan Oblak might move away from Atletico Madrid in January, although his contract runs till 2021. According to Marca, the Slovenian goalkeeper is unhappy that he hasn’t been offered a new, improved contract by the club since 2016. The English media reported that Manchester United are looking to sign Oblak as a replacement for de Gea who allegedly wants a move to PSG in the summer.
