Real Madrid were in poor form last season in La Liga campaign. The Los Blancos have managed only 22 wins, 10 draws and 6 defeats in 38 league games during the 2017-18 season.
The Bernabeu side finished third in La Liga table with 17 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona. But when it comes the UEFA Champions League the European champions have done brilliantly as they already managed to win their 13th trophy which the third consecutively in last three seasons.
However, if Madrid want to compete their rivals Barcelona and have a successful campaign next season, new manager Julen Lopetegui needs to have a busy summer.
Today we take a look at 3 important signings Real Madrid should make during this summer transfer window.
3. Eden Hazard – Winger [Chelsea]
Hazard has been strongly linked with Real Madrid move over past several seasons, but the deal didn’t go through.
However, this summer could be the one which sees the Belgium international joining the Spanish giants.
It was recently reported that former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is open to leaving the Bernabeu side this summer with Manchester United have emerged as potential suitors.
But the most important reason is Cristiano Ronaldo departure who recently joined Italian champions Juventus for a £105m deal.
Hazard is the right man to replace the Portugal international, who is currently the all-time top scorers for the Santiago Bernabeu side.
2. Harry Kane – Striker [Tottenham Hotspur]
It really obvious that Real Madrid need a killer-striker. Karim Benzema has been at Bernabeu since 2009 when he joined from the French side Lyon.
However, this should be the time to change. The France international has been in poor form this season as he managed only 5 league goals.
England international Harry Kane is one of the consistent strikers in the world of football today. The 24-year-old is currently the second top scorer in the Premier League behind Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah. The Englishman has managed to score 30 league goals in 37 appearances for the Spurs.
The Three Lions captain is also the 2018 World Cup top scorer as he collected 6 goals beating Portugal superstar and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.
He is the right man for Madrid and it would be amazing to watch him play alongside Eden Hazard.
1. Thibaut Courtois – Goalkeeper [Chelsea]
Goalkeeper number one at Chelsea and Belgium national team Thibaut Courtois has been in Real Madrid plans since 2016.
The Los Blancos are still interested in the Belgium international, who convinced the world that is the best goalkeeper in the world.
The 26-year-old has managed to win the Golden Glove race in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
If Madrid side have conceded 44 goals last season, it is not only defence problem but also a goalkeeper.
If Keylor Navas is the better shot-stopper at Bernabeu, Courtois could be the best one.
