5. The MiM Hotel, Spain -Lionel Messi

 

2018 saw Lionel Messi purchasing a stunning £525-a-night hotel in Ibiza as he expands his MiM brand. The 30-year-old has bought the incredible Hotel Es Vive situated along the Figueretas beach, with the 52-room property boasting a luxury pool and rooftop bar.

4. Cromlix Hotel, Scotland -Andy Murray

This sprawling manor home, located near Andy Murray’s hometown of Dunblane, Scotland, is also owned by the tennis superstar. Just before the 2014 Ryder Cup, Murray completely renovated the elegant Victorian Perthshire mansion.

The five-star retreat is set in 34 acres of secluded woodland and gardens and costs up to £585 per night during peak season.

3. Pestana Cr7 Hotel, Portugal -Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo opened a stylish, football-themed hotel in his hometown, Portugal’s Madeira, where guests can lounge by a rooftop infinity pool, exercise in an open-air gym, and take a bath in a room designed to look like a football field.

Despite its luxury feel, the hotel is surprisingly affordable with standard guest rooms beginning at £184 per night. After the one in Lisbon, Pestana CR7 is planning to expand the hotel to other cities Madrid, and New York City.
