This season has been particularly amazing in the world of sports. There have been some beautiful moments like farewells and victories. But there were also some other heartbreaks due to breath-taking injuries that stroke at crucial moments. Today we’ll go through top 5 athletes who got injured when their teams really needed them.
5. Dani Carvajal – Real Madrid

It may cause no problems for Real Madrid, but Carvajal’s injury during the Champions League final is a serious threat to the Spain national team. Carvajal was in tears as he walked off after appearing to aggravate his hamstring. With the World Cup weeks away, the conversation has turned to whether Carvajal will be healthy enough to help his team.
4. Chris Paul – Houston Rockets
Houston Rockets have been a threat to the reigning champions Golden State Warriors. With Chris Paul on board, the Rockets lead the series until game 5. Unfortunately, he missed Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals with a hamstring injury.

Now things seem tough as his side face the Warriors in the last do or die game (7). Houston Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni says their guard is a “game-time decision” for the final matchup.
3. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Liverpool
Chamberlain is laid up by a knee injury that ended his season and will delay his start to the next one. He would almost certainly have been starting the Champions League final for Liverpool last weekend.
Oxlade would have been a shoo-in for England’s World Cup squad. Alex must be one of the unluckiest men due to injuries. He did not take the field in the 2014 World Cup either and was ruled out of Euro 2016.
