European top League continued last weekend across the continent. The biggest clash was between Juventus and Lazio in Serie A. The Old Lady struggled but Cristiano Ronaldo and his compatriot Juan Cancelo netted late goals to silence Stadio Olimpico and open 11-point gap at the top. AC Milan settled for a 0-0 draw against Napoli. Barcelona won 2-0 to remain five points clear at the top. Real Madrid defeated Espanyol 4-2 to stay third behind Atletico Madrid who also defeated Getafe at Wanda Metropolitano. Bayern and Dortmund won their matches 4-1 and 5-1 respectively to maintain the six-point gap between them. Today, we want to look at five best second choice goalkeepers in Europe at the moment.
5. Petr Cech- Arsenal

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has announced he will hang his boots at the end of this season. The former Chelsea shot-stopper has won all trophies available in club level in his career. He holds Premier League clean sheets record.
Cech future at Emirates was thrown into doubt when Unai Emery made Bernd Leno his first choice goalkeeper. The Czech legend has realized there is no chance of getting the place back at the age of 36 years. However, if he wanted to continue, there are many clubs who would’ve been willing to give him a contract. He is still good enough to start ahead of Leno.
4. Gianluigi Buffon- PSG

Paris Saint-Germain second choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is enjoying himself more than any other in Europe at the moment. This is because he has played almost the same number of matches as first choice goalie Alphonse Areola.
The 41-year-old Italian legend joined the Ligue 1 side last summer in a shock move when everybody expected him to retire after his successful career with Juventus. However, he is challenging 25-year-old, Areola, every week for a starting place in the team. There are reports the club is ready to offer him another year.
3. Jasper Cillessen- Barcelona

Barcelona has two top goalkeepers. To keep both of them happy, number one shot-stopper Marc-André ter Stegen plays all La Liga and UEFA Champions League matches while Jasper Cillessen starts in Copa del Rey. However, pundits have questioned why the Dutch number one goalie is comfortable playing very few matches at Camp Nou. He can easily secure a move to a top club to get regular play time.
