When the age says “just leave”, many footballers have to say goodbye to the teams where they met glorious moments. But some don’t leave the game for good, but they choose to join other Leagues instead. Early at the beginning of this year, Ronaldinho hanged his boots at the age of 38. But football still has other players who never let go. Here are 5 players, you can’t believe they are still playing.

5. Eric Djemba Djemba (37 years old) – FC Vallorbe-Ballaigues (Swiss)

Djemba Djemba has played for 10 clubs in 10 different countries. France, England, Qatar, Denmark, Israel, Scotland, India, Indonesia, and Serbia. Now at 37, Djemba is now playing for Swiss fifth division club FC Vallorbe-Ballaigues. The midfielder from Cameroon had a two-year career in Manchester United and scored only once more for the club. Unsurprisingly, Red Devils showed him the dors in 2005.

5. Ryan Babel (31 years old) – Besiktas (Turkey)

Babel was the young promising product of Ajax. He failed to secure a regular first team position under three successive managers in Liverpool in mid-2007. The Dutchman moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2011 but still, he was marred with disciplinary problems with managers at the club. Babel moved from club to club, including Ajax, Kasimpasa, Al Ain FC, and others, but still didn’t stand still. Today he plays for Turkish club Besiktas.

4. Didier Drogba (40 years old) – Phoenix Rising FC. (USA)

Drogba has scored more goals than any other foreign player at Chelsea. He is the all-time top scorer and former captain of the Ivory Coast national team. But it turns out that the legend still hasn’t let go off the game. He is now playing in the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in Phoenix Rising FC. The 40 years old also became an owner of the club making him the very first player-owner in football history.
