3. Cristiano Ronaldo- 31 Goals (2007/08)

Former Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is also in the special list. The Portuguese best season in a Red Devils shirt came in 2007/08 when he netted 42 goals in 49 matches in all competitions. In Premier League alone he netted 31 times in 34 matches. It is the year he helped Sir Alex Ferguson side lift UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and League Cup. He also won Golden Boot both domestically and in Europe. He also won his first Ballon d’Or award.

2. Allan Shearer- 31 Goals (1996)

Premier League legend Allan Shearer still holds all-time goal record with 260 strikes. The former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers forward netted 31 goals in 1995/96 season. The ex-England attacker scored more than 30 goals in two other seasons but the League had 42 games then.

1. Mohamed Salah- 32 Goals (2017/18)

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah managed to do what many have failed over the years in Premier League. The Egyptian scored 32 League goals in 36 matches in 2017/18 season. This was a new record because no other player has ever netted more than 31 since the division was re-launched in 1992. He lifted the Golden Boot as well as PFA Player of the Year among other awards.  This season, he has netted 3 goals in six matches so far.
