Former Liverpool winger John Barnes claimed that his former club will sell Mohamed Salah if they receive a £200m bid this summer.
Salah, who joined the Merseysiders only last summer, has been strongly linked with Real Madrid move after having an impressive season with the Premier League giants.
The Egypt international has recently signed a new long-term deal which will tie him at Anfield until 2023.
However, Liverpool legend Barnes is confident the Reds will let the winger leave if they receive a good bid.
“Salah signing a new contract doesn’t mean that Liverpool are no longer a selling club,” said Barnes.
“Every club is a selling club. If Real Madrid offered £200m for Salah then he’d go and Liverpool would then be a selling club.”
“[Cristiano] Ronaldo might be leaving Real Madrid, [Robert] Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich.”
“Neymar could leave PSG as well so even the biggest clubs in the world are selling clubs.”
“But what the new contract means is that Salah is committed to Liverpool and wants to stick around and see how far they can go.”
The former Chelsea and Roma star has scored 44 times and 14 assists during the 2017-18 season, helping the Reds to reach the Champions League final.
