Former Premier League superstar Ian Wright has dropped a huge hint over Paul Pogba future at Manchester United.
The ex-Arsenal striker has revealed that the France international could leave the Old Trafford side in January.
The former Juventus midfielder has recently admitted that he doesn’t know what will happen in the next few months.
But Wright has insisted that the World Cup winner still has, meanwhile, a lot to prove in order to leave history in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is said to have fallen out with United manager Jose Mourinho and has been dropped several times after being criticised by the manager in public.
“He’s a great player, and he’s a World Cup winner. He has come back and has proven that he is that guy. But if Paul Pogba left in January, and we looked back at his Premier League CV, would you say he has been brilliant here? He still has a lot to prove!” Wright told Sky Sports News.
“I think he’s fantastic, that picture of him dabbing with the World Cup is brilliant, it’s going to be iconic, but at the same time, in the Premier League he hasn’t done it properly, consistently enough yet.”
“Coming back with a World Cup medal has given him a false sense of security, in thinking that: ‘I’m bigger than this now.’ We need to see more from him and what he’s capable of doing.”
Pogba re-joined the Red Devils in 2016 from Juventus and has since gone on to score 17 times in 92 appearances.
