Many times people ask when do football players reach their peak in their career! But it is frequently believed that footballers reach their peak when they are between the ages of 27 and 29.

Does it mean that all footballers have to retire at the age of 30? The answer has to be No! There are some players who become better when they are in their 30s especially goalkeepers.

Others do play football until they reach at their 40s! But not everyone can reach such accomplishment.

Today we take a look at current best European centre-forwards/strikers who are still playing over the age of 30.

7. Iago Aspas – Celta de Vigo [31-year-old]

Aspas is a Celta Vigo product as he started his youth career at Balaídos in 1995 when he was only 8.

The Spaniard has also played for Premier League side Liverpool for two seasons before he returned to his boyhood club.

At the age of 31, Aspas is performing well with 23 goals in 37 appearances for The Celts during the 2017-18 season.

The Spain international has now scored 3 goals in three games in the 2018-19 season so far.

6. Gonzalo Higuain – Juventus – Currently loaned to AC Milan [30-year-old]

Higuain has been an outstanding striker in his career, although he frequently missed some crucial opportunities for the Argentine national team.

The former Real Madrid striker is one of the best finishers in world football today. The Argentina international has bagged 23 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions in the 2017-18 season for the Old Lady.

The former Napoli striker, who joined AC Milan on loan deal in the summer transfer window, has now scored twice in four appearances for the San Siro side.

5. Edin Dzeko – AS Roma [32-year-old]

Former Edin Dzeko Manchester City forward has been one of the most underrated strikers in world football in his career.

At the age of 31, Dzeko was strongly linked with a move to Premier League champions Chelsea during the January transfer window.

The Bosnian striker, who has been successful everywhere he played, is still prolific goalscorer at Roma.

Dzeko has scored 24 goals in 49 appearances for the Giallorossi last season. The 32-year-old has now scored one goal in three goals this season so far.
