Premier League football season is done and dusted. The 38th game was played on Sunday evening across the country. Champions League football next season will be played by Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and Champions Manchester City. Swansea City joined West Brom and Stoke City in the Championship and of course Chelsea joined Arsenal in Europa League. The focus now shifts to FA Cup final between the Red Devils and Blues. Today, we want to see who impressed the most on the final weekend in the English top division.

5. Erik Lamela- Tottenham Hotspurs

Tottenham Hotspurs were 3-1 down by the 47th minute against Leicester City. The day was not going to plan and they needed to respond soon before the visitors scored the fourth. Erik Lamela rose to the occasion to save his team from an embarrassing final match at the Iconic Wembley Stadium. The Argentine scored a quick-fire double in the 49th and 60th to make it 3-3. It was the perfect response Mauricio Pochetino side needed to get back in the game. It was a nice ending for a player who has struggled with injuries and fitness since he signed for the London side.

Leicester City season has been hot and cold. However, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez remain the only constant force at the club. The two combined perfectly on game 38 to deliver another great performance away from home. The English striker scored two goals but Tottenham Hotspurs did enough to edge the clash 5-4. It was a much-needed lift for the under-fire manager Claude Puel.

3. Harry Kane- Tottenham Hotspurs

Tottenham Hotspurs narrowly escaped with a vital 5-4 win at Wembley Stadium to secure the third spot ahead of Liverpool. This was no doubt the best match on Premier League final day. Leicester City had a great start forcing the hosts to work hard to get back in the game.

At some point, it was 3-1 to the visitors but Pochettino men were not ready to end the season badly in front of the home supporters. Harry Kane netted a brace including the winner in the 76th minute to finish the season with 30 goals, two behind Golden Boot winner Mohamed Salah.
