Egypt shot-topper Essam El-Hadary became the oldest player to appear in a World Cup match. The Goalkeeper was 45 years and 161 days when he played against Saudi Arabia in their Group A final match. The goalie also became the fourth goalkeeper to save a penalty on his World Cup debut.
