The real reason Jose Mourinho didn’t allow Ryan Giggs working with him at Manchester United has been revealed. He didn’t trust him because of his sex affair with his brother’s wife.

It was firstly suggested Mourinho didn’t want to work in the shadow of a United legend but according to the Times the exact reason is that affair.

Mourinho claims he just couldn’t trust the Welshman after an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri’s wife was put out.

Giggs, 45, played 672 matches for the Red Devils from 1990-2014, scoring 114 goals.

The self-styled Special One instead brought close friend Rui Faria to the club despite fans longing for a connection with the management team.

In 2015 Giggs finally apologised to his brother for his affair – four years after sleeping with his sister-in-law Natasha.

Mourinho broke his silence on his sacking on Wednesday; saying: “Manchester United has a future without me and I have a future without Manchester United

“It’s over, that’s me and that’s how I’ve always been. I was always very critical of managers that leave clubs and then they come out and they speak about the details of what happened; who is to blame.

“That’s not me.

“Until I get back to football I feel I have to right to live my normal life.”
