Manchester United fans enjoyed their best results so far this season last weekend against Fulham. The newly-promoted bottom-placed side did not provide many challenges to the home team. However, the hunger and desire to score goals and entertain the fans must be encouraging for Jose Mourinho. Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a wonderful debut season with Manchester United. The Big Swede arrived on a free transfer after PSG decided not to extend his contract. The forward quickly settled at Old Trafford with a winning goal to help the team lift FA Community Shield.
The season did not disappoint because his 29 goals helped the club win League Cup and UEFA Europa League. He left the club to join MLS side LA Galaxy in January 2018 after a long injury layoff. There are rumors he might return in January 2018 for another 6 months spell.

Manchester United spent 75 million pounds to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton in 2017/18 season. The Belgian enjoyed a great debut season at Old Trafford but the second one has not gone according to plan. However, the powerful forward has already scored 33 goals so far for the club.

Marcus Rashford is another product Louis Van Gaal tenure at Manchester United. The Dutchman has always promoted quality young players and at Old Trafford, he pushed a good number forward. They include Rashford (35 goals so far), Fosu-Mensah on loan at Fulham, Jesse Lingard (First team regular), Tuanzebe on loan at Aston Villa among several others.
