Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has asked Adrien Rabiot to sign a new contract with the club after his current contract at the Parc des Princes.
Rabiot’s current contract will run until the summer of 2019 but is yet to sign an extension deal and talks are yet to take place.
The 23-year-old has heavily been linked with away move from PSG during the 2018 summer transfer window and speculation over his future has now continued to grow.
According to reports, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been linked with the central midfielder, with the prior said to be in pole position.
However, PSG manager Tuchel has urged the France international to reject all European clubs and remains in the French capital.
“I love working with Adrien. He had a difficult situation when he missed the World Cup but his effort has been at a maximum,” Tuchel told RMC.
“He has great potential after being trained at this club, he is essential for our approach. It is very important to have footballers of this nature.”
Rabiot, who ever played for Manchester City academy, was promoted to the PSG first team in 2012 just after two years since joining the club’s youth system.
The youngster scored 22 times in 208 appearances in all competitions for the Parisians.
