Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has expressed his disappointment with the Club and manager Arsene Wenger for failing to hand him his favourite number even after it fell vacant last summer.

The Germany prefers shirt number 10, the same number he plays with for Germany and Real Madrid before joining Arsenal. The shirt fell vacant last summer when Jack Wilshere joined Bournemouth on loan but the club has not passed on the shirt to the German just yet.

“Since Wilshere’s departure last summer, the number is free, but I have yet to get it,” he said

“The No.10 has become free and I definitely want it,” Ozil continued.

The 28-year-old has refused to sign a new contract at Emirates Stadium and fans are worried he might leave the club next summer.
