Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu has revealed that he could sign a permanent deal with Premier League side Watford in the summer.
The 24-year-old joined Watford in January on a loan deal until the end of the season from Barcelona.
Deulofeu, who started his youth career at La Masia, re-joined the Catalan side last summer from Premier League side Everton following a season long-loan at AC Milan.
The Spaniard made 17 appearances, scoring 2 times for the Blaugrana in the first half of the 2017-18 campaign before being out on loan.
“It’s clear that I will not be returning to Barca,” Deulofeu told Cadena Ser. “I do not think the coach would want me back at Barca and I have been told by Watford that I am wanted, so it could be that I stay at the club.”
“I cannot say what will happen and we must wait. But now I’m back from my injury and now I hope to finish the season strongly. I need to remain calm and make the right decision but a Barca return is not likely.”
The Spain international played five Premier League games in which he scored once for the Hornets since joining the side.
