NBA Playoffs are getting much more exciting as days go by. Things were getting ugly for the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the Utah Jazz were leading the series with a 3-1.

Jae Crowder and Utah had a 25 points lead in the third quarter

Jae Crowder had just come ready for the game 5, hitting back-to-back 3pointers in the first quarter. The Thunder team were down 25 points midway through the third quarter, almost getting close to their season end.

Westbrook and Paul George spoiled it all

But OKC will live to die another day thanks to Russ and P-George’s monstrous performances. After Jazz’s Rudy Gobert got into foul trouble, the Thunder took over. They overcame a 25-point deficit in the final 8:30 of the 3rd quarter to tie the game heading into the 4th.

Third biggest comeback in the NBA Playoff history

Russ tied a career playoff-high with 20 points in the 3rd quarter, just to finish with 45 points. Both Russell Westbrook and Paul George combined for 79 of the Thunder’s 107 points as they staved off elimination with a third-largest comeback in playoff history. OKC won the game with 107-99, but the Jazz still lead the series with 3-2.
