The first day of the 2018/19 Champions League came with record-breaking moments. One of the individual records was broken when Porto met Schalke in a group D match of the European League.

During the game, Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas became the very first player in history to feature in 20 Champions League seasons. The 37-year-old surpassed Manchester United Ryan Giggs who played in 19 Champions League campaigns.

While Liverpool victory had much to talk about, what caught the attention of fans was Mohamed Salah’s strange reaction to Firmino’s last-minute winner. The Egyptian was subbed off shortly after a mistake hew made in the 83rd minute and was replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri.
As Firmino scored on the last minute, the cameras panned to the Liverpool dug-out. It was only to see Salah hurling his water bottle while sat on the subs bench, an action that seemed to have stemmed from frustration.
