Napoli have confirmed the appointment of former Real Madrid boss as the club’s new manager after Maurizio Sarri departure.

Sarri has parted with the Partenopei on 23 May 2018 and now the club have announced Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s new manager.

Ancelotti managed big clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

“Napoli is pleased to announce that it has defined an agreement with the coach Carlo Ancelotti concerning the technical guidance of the first team for the next three seasons starting from 2018-2019,” read a club statement released on Wednesday.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has written on his Twitter account on Wednesday evening appreciating Sarri’s great work during his three-year spell at the Stadio San Paolo.

Laurentiis said: “I would like to thank Maurizio Sarri for his precious dedication to Calcio Napoli, which has made it possible to give prestige and emotions to the city and to the blue fans all over the world, creating a model of play admired everywhere and by anyone. Bravo Maurizio.”

Sarri has recently emerged as Chelsea target with Antonio Conte’s future at the Stamford Bridge is still uncertain.
