Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has warned manager Jose Mourinho to ignore other prospective targets from this summer’s World Cup and focus on Real Madrid star signature.

Mourinho is believed to be a huge fan of Madrid forward Gareth Bale and the 28-year-old has heavily been linked with away move from Santiago Bernabeu.

Bale has been struggling for game time under French manager Zinedine Zidane at Madrid which made him reconsider his future this summer.

Therefore, former United forward Dwight Yorke has told Mourinho to forget about scouting other targets and think about how to bring Bale back to the Premier League.

“United and Jose don’t need to look at the World Cup,” Yorke told 888sport. “No player suits us more than Gareth Bale.”

“Yes there will always be some exciting candidates to look at but Bale is someone who excites me. He is the right age, in his prime, and will be the perfect addition.”

Bale, who move to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013, has 88 goals in 189 appearances for Los Blancos.

Yorke has been at Old Trafford between 1998 and 2002 helping the Red Devils to win six trophies including three Premier League titles and Champions League.
