Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that striker Romelu Lukaku will be out of away Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.

The Belgium international has picked up an ankle injury during United’s 2-1 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford on last Sunday afternoon.

However, the Portuguese boss is apparently positive over the former Chelsea and Everton striker’s fitness.

It was reported that Lukaku could miss the remainder of the season, but Mourinho believes that the striker will play the FA Cup final.

“I don’t know how long he will be out. I just know that of course, he will not play tomorrow. Apart from that, we need to wait for more scans, more time,” Mourinho told reporters at Thursday’s press conference.

Asked if Lukaku will play any part in the FA Cup final, Mourinho replied: “I hope so, it looks positive.”

Lukaku, who joined United last summer from Everton, has scored 27 goals and set up other 7 in 50 appearances for the Red Devils this season.
