2017/18 Premier League season will come to an end this weekend. The season finale will kick off at the same time on Sunday evening. Manchester Clubs will finish first and second but positions three; four and five are up for grabs. Arsenal has no stress because position six is secure. The relegation battle is also over because Stoke City, West Brom, and Swansea are down. This means the only business remaining is League table positions. This is important because it comes with a cash reward. The position you finish determines how much money you will get. Today, we want to take a look at top six clubs and the millions they are likely to receive by final table position.
6. Arsenal- £30 Million
Arsenal cheque is on the way to Emirates because no matter what happens in their final match against Huddersfield, their league position will not change. This will be the lowest amount Arsene Wenger has delivered for years. The Gunners will receive £30 million for finishing sixth on the table. Burnley boss Sean Dyche will finish seventh on the table and this guarantees the club £28 million.
5. Chelsea- £32 Million
Chelsea chances of finishing in top four places hang in the balance. It is not in their hands anymore after that 1-1 draw against Huddersfield on Wednesday. The Blues will hope Brighton can do them a favor by beating Liverpool at Anfield like they did to Manchester United last Friday. If that happens and they manage to beat Newcastle United at St James Park, a fourth place will be secured. However, it is hard to bank on the Seagulls because they are safe. In their current position on the table, Stamford Bridge will receive £32 Million.
4. Liverpool- £34 Million
Liverpool has played entertaining football all season. In fact, according to football pundits, they are the second-best team in the Premier League if you consider the attacking machinery. However, they risk missing out on a top-four place if they lose on Sunday against Brighton and Chelsea win away against Newcastle United. At the same time, if they win and Tottenham fail to beat Leicester City on the final day, they could end up in the third place. According to their current position with one game to play, the Reds will take home £34 million.
