Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Stoger has confirmed that striker Michy Batshuayi has picked up a serious injury which could rule him out for a long time.
The on-loan Chelsea striker was injured during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Schalke 04 in a hard challenge by former Tottenham midfielder Benjamin Stambouli in stoppage time.

The Belgium international striker, who left the Veltins-Arena on crutches, has been taken to hospital amid fears he may have broken his left ankle.
Batshuayi, who joined Dortmund in the January transfer window, is now doubtful for the 2018 World Cup finals which will take place in Russia this summer.

“He is in great pain,” Stoger told reporters after the match. “It looked like he could be out for a long time. I hope it’s not that bad.”
Michy Batshuayi has reportedly suffered what could be a ‘broken leg’
If that’s the case that would certainly rule him out of the World Cup 😥😰
