Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that a new contract offer is now on the table for Eden Hazard to make him snub Real Madrid.
The Belgium international is yet to decide on his future with Real Madrid and PSG interests.
Hazard’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 2020 and the Blues have made an offer to make him among the top earners in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has been open with his dream to play for Real Madrid one day but Chelsea boss Sarri has urged him to sign a new contract with the West London side.
“You know very well that Eden is very important for us, like every special player. He’s important for his club,” Sarri said.
“It’s up to him. The club is available to sign a new contract immediately, but it’s up to him if he wants to renew or not.”
“I want Eden here, of course, but I want him here if he wants to stay here.”
The Blues have managed to convince Cesar Azpilicueta and has signed a new deal earlier this week and Sarri is confident David Luiz and Cesc Fabregas will sign up too.
But the Italian boss still thinks it’s difficult because the club have a policy of only handing one-year deals to players over 30 while players want long deals.
The former Napoli boss added: “The club wants a short contract, and the players want a long contract, so it’s difficult.”
