Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that it will be a miracle if his side secure the fourth spot in the Premier League this season.

The 20-time Premier League champions have only managed a 2-2 draw with Southampton in the weekend at Old Trafford.

Mourinho’s tactics at United have been criticised by many and his Old Trafford future continues to be uncertain.

The Red Devils are currently seventh in the league table with eight points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

When asked about his hopes for the rest of the season, he replied: “Try to win as many points as possible and try almost the miracle of finishing fourth.”

Meanwhile, United are said to be continuously linked with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

And his son Enzo has revealed his father was ready to return to management soon.

“We all know that my father loves football and loves to be a coach,” Enzo told AS.

“For sure, he will be back soon. It’s his decision. Now he is taking advantage to rest, which he needed, because in the end being at Madrid was nice but hard, with a lot of work.”
