Manchester United have officially confirmed that the club will close pre-season preparations on August 5 playing a friendly game against Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils are already prepared to play against Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid during their tour in the USA.

Jose Mourinho’s men will travel to the Allianz Arena for their final warm-up game before the 2018-19 season kick-off which scheduled on August 11.

“The team are facing some of the world’s toughest opponents over the course of pre-season, in top-class stadiums which will allow a significant number of our supporters to get closer to the team they love,” United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward told the club’s official website.

“The competitive feel throughout the summer programme will provide a great platform for the squad, giving them the best possible preparation ahead of the new campaign.”

United have last played against the Bundesliga giants in 2014 under David Moyes management as the Old Trafford side were knocked out Bavarians in the Champions League quarter-finals.
