Derby County boss Frank Lampard has revealed that he is so excited to play against Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils will host Derby County at Old Trafford on Tuesday night in their Football League Cup clash.
Meanwhile, Lampard has claimed that he has already spoken to his former Chelsea manager ahead of the clash.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him. On a personal level, he was a manager who was very influential on my career,” Lampard told reporters.
“We’ve spoken in the last 24 hours to congratulate me but it was very brief but we talked family. I learned a lot from him and I appreciate it.”
Jose Mourinho has also given United news on MUTV: “Ander [Herrera] is ready. Marcos Rojo is the only player that is not available through injury and it’s Marcus Rashford’s last suspension match.”
“I’m just thinking about the matches and this one is a cup match and the rules change,” Mourinho added.
“After a draw, you go straight to a penalty shootout, which obviously is a 50-50 situation.”
“So is a match of 90 minutes which we have to try and win and the choice of the players is based on that.”
